It was a lazy ,summer afternoon.
The rain poured, and some flowers began to bloom.
The rain poured and poured.

Over the cardboard box filled with puppies.
If you look at them, they are as cute as guppies.
As the rain pellets shoot from the sky.

Do they deserve it now?
How and why?
As the rain fell down their snouts and ears.

If they could, their eyes would be filled with tears.
So adopt one,maybe two.
Then buy them treats and toys, too.

Now,I usually don’t write like this.
But somebody really wanted this.
So I told myself,why not?

It won’t kill me to try new things.
And puppies are often innocent beings.
You watched the cold,pouring rain.

And you just could sense their pain.
And days were never boring or lame.
I don’t know what else to say.

But alas,we all wanted the puppies happy all the way.
So you went and named them.
First one,then another.

Names special like no other.
Where was the mother?
Where was the father?

Questions,unanswered in your head.
You even got them their own, soft bed.
The puppies pranced, barking through your house.

And it was almost chaos, but you didn’t care.
Atleast their lives were now fair.
And at the end, they fell sound asleep.

Sleeping very,very deep.
Puppies once drenched in rain.
Now no longer feel any pain.

And there is nobody to blame.
Alas, not everyone has space in their house.
For a small puppy and a mouse chasing cat.

It’s often seen as chaos.
So is the rain.
Yet,it erases all of the pain.

The puppies were no longer sad.
The rain stopped,no longer mad.
And this is the best day they’ve had.
