It was a gloomy day.
The rain poured on.
And I wanted to get away for a while.

I saw the glowing moon and that made me smile.
So I sat down on a wooden bench.
Not caring I was drenched in rain.

The rain softly fell on my hair and skin.
But I didn’t care,it all felt like a dream.
A dream I would get on lonely nights.

And no people in sight.
Then,a stranger sat down next to me.
The rain washed off all my worries.

And the stranger smiled at me.
His appearance was familiar,yet strange.
Yet a meeting somehow arrange.

A stranger,wrapped in human skin.
But somehow I felt peace within.
I asked for his name and he did the same.

Destiny,he says.
And I hoped he stays.
Because even now,I didn’t want to be alone on this rainy day.

I wondered who he was, what his role was.
A friend,or maybe a potential lover.
The rain poured harder and harder.

Yet I didn’t hide away for once.
I told him my name, prickly roses.
And I had two choices.

Stay for a while, watch him smile at me.
Or go seek solitude.
You can probably see what I chose.

And the stranger soon held me close.
Maybe he wasn’t a stranger,no.
He was home.

And maybe even the endless galaxy.
You might wonder, what did I do?
To let another hold me after being hurt.

But I needed the company.
I will be blunt.
Heavy rain,his soul the same.

Maybe he was sent from the galaxy beyond.
To comfort me,and for me to cherish.
I smelled his cologne,I relish.

And I hoped he doesn’t perish.
Then,the rain went away.
So I went and lived another day.
