There was a legend told far away.
As wintertime comes and everyone wishes she’d stay.
When the ground is icy, ballet music play.

Her movements ellegant, they make you sway.
Is she evil or nice?
As she glides on the ice?

She doesn’t need ice skates.
No,she glides on handmade crystal shoes.
As the wind softly blows.

They say, once winter ends, she goes back to the great north.
And comes back next winter.
Some say she plans to make winter eternal.

With no clouds or sun.
And the siippery ice you run.
As seasons softly turn.

They say if you see her tonight.
She brings a blessing,so don’t feel fright.
And snowflakes fall through the night.

It’s such a lovely sight.
And when winter ends, she lets spring take place.
And goes home on a steady pace.

Months,days go by.
And soon winter comes back by.
She sings,hush,don’t cry.

For the snowflakes never lie.
Come and glide on the ice with me.
You’ll grow snow wings and feel free.

Or maybe, when season ends, come with to the great north.
And you’ll see wonders amaze.
So big,it’s like a maze.

And only special ones can come through.
Let me feed you and you will feel full.
And after,you safely go home.

As I sit on my ice throne.
She tells me,I’ll be back next winter.
Please,I swear.

As the ice melts,I will be there.
And my skating rink,I will share.
So what if you slip?

It’s how our bodies learn.
And you get up ,get another turn.
This has been fun,but the great north is calling me.

This is what she said.
And she meant it – she came back next winter.
The ice ballerina never wither.

For she has eternal youth and glow.
Come with me as streetlights glow.
And the cold winter follow.
