oh my star,how I wonder.
How your light makes one ponder.
Are you up there,watching?

Up from the night sky of diamonds?
Do you know me well, from this sky of bright nightlights?
Were you there when I was little?

When I was in the dark,so brittle.
Why didn’t you reach out?
I know you wonder.

How to answer all the questions little ones ponder.
Oh little star,tell me.
Do you know a moon?

That stayed in my night sky soon.
I know you’ve seen him, I know you watch, you’ve been him.
The one to comfort me when I cry.

As you watched me sleep from the night sky.
I know you watched me and pondered.
How could she survive for this longer, you’ve wondered.

Unable to reach out from the sky.
All my life,I wondered why.
You stayed so quiet in the moonlit sky.

When the glowing moon is gone, your cousin.
And a day starts anew.
Oh star, come down and teach me something new.

You traveled all the cosmos and saw me.
You wondered what it would be like to be me.
And I can’t quite blame you.

I wanted to be friends with you, tame you.
But tell me honestly.
Where were you in days so gloomy?

Were you unable to reach through me?
All because it were day.
And at night,conciousness goes away.

Tell me,did my dear moon ever whisper about me to you?
Saying,this is oh so cruel.
Could I reach you with a rocket if I have enough fuel?

And would your siblings join us for tea?
I’ve always wondered what you are.
But my guesses can only go so far.

Give me your answer,little star.
