The walls of my mind are never bleak.
The citizens all politely speak.
Because they know how it feels.

When someone’s true self reveals.
And there are shops and places of all sizes.
Pastries,fresh croissants every morning.

And a painting gallery of all my memories.
Some look and take a peek.
Some shared their opinion as they speak.

And there is even fashion week of all my latest obsessions.
Alas, there is a legend going around.
About the darker pits of my mind.

The citizens avoid it,for it causes them nightmares.
And they say a monster lurks in it.
When you enter the dark pits, you can feed it.

They say the monster has eyes looking at the past and future.
But it focuses on present aswell.
It mostly glances at the past.

And the scared faces of anyone who walks past.
They say the monster has matted fur.
Because sometimes,it’s hard to take care of yourself when you are not okay.

But if you tame and calm down the beast all the way.
You’ll see it used to be human.
And the legends were made, because we fear the unknown.

Maybe the darkest pits have hidden jewels.
And the walls were once made of gold.
So many famous tourist attractions inside my mind.

And yet,the darkest pits used to be the most treasured.
Maybe once,it was the most visited art gallery there.
The floors shiny,young skin fair.

And citizens traveled all the way there.
Just to see their best painting – it’s called young and free.
And on it is childhood me.

My mind is the best tourist attraction to be.
