Gold And Blue

Blue was me,gold was you.
You gracefully painted the ocean in a gold hue.
I was blue – the skies,the sparkling river water.

And sometimes,it was all that mattered.
You were gold – jewelry ,riches.
Glowing with all your might.

As a bright moon on a starry night.
And I painted the skies during day.
I was blue,just blue.

But you had golden shimmer.
I loved the way your brown eyes glimmer.
And the way your bright smile shined.

I am just ordinary blue.
But you were gold with a pearly hue.
You shared its glow with me and my heart was full.

Blue was me,gold was oh so special you.
I seemed rather ordinary.
And I reflected on the ocean and tides.

Then this is where you came in.
And the ocean turned into a magical,liquid gold.
Could you ever share some of your special glow with me?

That way I won’t be ordinary.
But regardless,you’d always understand me.
And so I slowly became a pearly hue.

I was pretty and unique,just like you.
And together we fused into a whole new ocean.
I were blue,now pearl is me.

And gold enchanted this lonely sea.
So then the gold came up as a beautiful sunrise.
And I knew we fused together.

With you,I never have to worry about flaws.
Or about being better.
You were the special gold of my dreams.

And the blue skies in forests evergreen.
But on an eclipse it fused.
To give up together we refused.

And nobody ever felt used.
Share with me the sparkles you used.
That shall heal my soul.
