What Is Poetry?

They ask me, what is poetry?
Is it just words on paper?
Is it memories,written and then saved for later?

Poetry is much more than we know.
When words in your mind flow,but you can’t say them.
And so,poetry comes to help.

Rhymes and rows of hope and wealth.
For you are never poor when you have words.
They shine and take you to other worlds.

Would you like to go to a masquarade ball?
Or dimension with flowers stems that grow?
Poetry comes to the rescue.

When you don’t have the right words.
And writing block quickly shuts.
As words finally appear and stay put.

Poetry is for when you don’t know what to say.
Or when life limits the games you like to play.
What is poetry?

Is it an art from the gods divine?
Is it something you can do all the time?
You don’t like it,that’s fine.

We don’t enjoy everything all of the time.
But the ones who like poetry stay true.
They stick together like a team.

And they help words go through.
Together,we’ll defeat all evil.
Poetry oh so medieval,all around the world.

All kinds of writing styles and words.
Together we create new worlds.
And our minds no longer feel heavy.

I can heal you if you just let me.
And those who have a poet that fall.
They receive love poems,the greatest of all.

Because that is our love language.
Leave it or take it.
If you accept it,you won’t regret it.

Now we have our answer.
Was that so hard?
Poetry is wonder,sometimes all we had.

It takes away negativity when you are sad.
