It’s been a while since others witnessed my sincere smile.
I’ve been through so much, yet I kept hopeful.
I mean,look at me – on the inside,I’m a mess.

And yet,I somehow keep hopeful,I confess.
Let me speak,try and rephrase.
Day by day,I do my best.

I do my hobbies and get peaceful rest.
Even when my colors are fading,I still hope.
That is not a mindset everyone develop.

But the thoughts still haunt me,giving me this nagging feeling.
That something will eventually go wrong.
I often keep it at the back of my head.

I go through my day and get into bed.
And that follows me sometimes into my dreamscape.
No matter what happens,I try to smile.

But I will be a puddle of ink in a while.
Like an unwritten letter.
I hoped times get better.

Because yes,the future is unpredictable.
I was never able to guess perfect and right.
Like a fruit,it needs to get ripe.

And frankly, some plans bloom in the night.
For the night is quiet peace.
It lets you sleep and feel release.

Especially after a long day.
When shadows and twinkling starts play.
The empty night, away from all people.

And takes us all to another land.
I call it,my personal dreamscape.
Where all of that hope linger.

And the crickets are the singer.
In my dreamland,anything can happen.
For the night,I run away from all stress.

And my hopes temporarily suppress.
Then I wake up,and all over again.
I go through my day, keep the thoughts at bay.

But at the back of my mind, they play.
Then the night come and temporarily stay.
After all that, I smile.

Knowing I’ve grown older and it’s been a while.
Hopes, please protect me when I’m low.
And let the moonlight lull me slow.
