Nostalgia can be a double edged sword.
It makes you remember old memories or words.
Life goes on and the Earth turns.

Nostalgia can remind you of good times.
Once upon a time, a fairytale.
With a princess,dragon and a well.

It can really make you yearn.
As certain memories make your stomach turn.
Where are those people now?

Can I see them again, why or how?
The years passed.
Months among the fresh,green grass.

I wanted to see her one more time.
Tell me,is that I miss her a crime?
Sometimes we miss the older versions of ourselves.

We put our best memories on display on the shelves.
Nostalgia can also make you sad.
Using memories to make you feel bad.

As you realise you’ll never experience them again.
And the world starts to bend.
Nostalgia is a trap within.

It makes you feel weak or thin.
Sometimes nostalgia just makes you miserable.
And sometimes, a wide smile rises.

It can bring you up as it builds you down.
Or turn your life, emotions upside down.
Sometimes it gives you a magic, gold crown.

And sometimes,in your tears and woes you drown.
By memories of people you were once close to.
And foods you used to eat.

Dreams you used to have.
And childhood moments that were neat.
Sometimes nostalgia defeat and bring sorrow.

There might be no tomorrow.
I just hope the glowing moon is always there with me.
But alas,life goes by.

I’m anxious,not gonna lie.
Life decisions change ever so slightly, daily and nightly.
And there is so much about me I am scared to show.

Woes and fears slowly grow.
But my inner child says to me.
You can do this!

And will always be with me.
