Back To Friends

Summary:
A poem suggested by friend. Shoutout to Sarah. Inspired by sombr's ""Back To Friends"".
This entry is in the series Poems

A question I ask myself is now.
How could we back to friends?
Why and how?

By this point,we’ve gotten so close.
And deep emotions arose.
How could we go back to base one?

As if I wasn’t your number one?
I still remember last of December.
We shared a bed.

In the morning,touch so tender.
And after that going back was no choice.
We ignored all of the dangers and noise.

And the shimmer in your eyes tells me.
That you think that too.
How could we go back to nothing?

And I feel like a fool.
Should we go on?
Or perhaps stop before it gets dangerous?

Should we expand our relationship to lovers?
Do we have the needed strength and powers?
I remember the morning we woke up from our sleep.

For our connection last night was very deep.
At one point we shared a bed.
And our loneliness was defeated and fed.

Moments I won’t ever forget.
But now,I am someone you never met.
It’s like we are kids once again.

You shook my hand, told me your name.
Ever since,in my world you had a lot of fame.
So touch me tender and hold me close.

We shared a bed last night, nobody else knows.
How could we go back to the start?
Know I loved you from the start.

But things now are complicated.
Is this going to work out or not?
Did we do the right choice of the heart?

What once felt hot now feels cold.
We stayed together till we grew old.
As we are built from the same mould.

And oh the devil in your eyes.
It allure and hypnotize.
But you won’t even deny the lies.

Time quickly flies.
Last night we shared a bed.
Now in your eyes I am someone you never met.

I tried to hold on tight.
I knew that it would be pointless to fight.
Because you are right.

It’s too late to be friends, too early to become lovers.
And if we have hidden powers.
I know we can settle down.

I would even accept your friendship.
Laying down with a frown.
