When I was a kid,I was told a legend.
She told me,the sun and moon were distant lovers.
That they were destined to never meet.

Even if they always greet.
But then she told me.
One day, little one,an eclipse will come.

The moon will meet the sun.
And to the sun,he will be number one.
Waited so many light years to meet.

And when eclipse happened, they finally felt whole.
So they finally embraced eachother.
The sun looked at the other.

And said, before we met I was devoid of warmth.
Devoid of sunshine rays.
And you were devoid of moonlight.

The skies were black and white.
In the dark,lonely night.
But when we met, they became a colorful sunrise.

A new beginning, and now I lend you sunshine rays.
They say,we were destined to never meet.
But we overcame this myth.

And we finally made a solar eclipse.
The night we met I was a shell.
And I was an already told tale.

But you winked at me in the sky.
Said,don’t cry!
For the stars don’t lie.

You asked me,will you be my sun?
Oh moon, will you be my number one?
Will you shine your moonlight on me when I am sad?

Will you hug me when it feels really bad?
And so,as legends predicted.
Our solar eclipse finally happened.

You took the negativity out of me in dark times.
You lend a wing so I can flee.
With you, I feel stronger than I could be.

The moon and sun were destined to never meet.
But yet,how does your smile manage to greet?
At first I was a blank sheet.

But then, stars and moonlight dripped onto me like a canvas.
Now I’m a celestial body,a sun.
And the moon is my number one.

And you,my ethereal moonlight.
The eclipse was such a sight.
You lit up the darkest of night.

And together,we’ll reach an incredible height.
