My mind palace exists outside of time and space.
Inside,a beauty sleeps in grace, waiting to be saved.
And guards in armor guard the very gates.

A princess stays there far away.
Stranded out in the sea.
And she would swim to you if you ever need her.

One day,the gates were opened.
And she was in deep sleep in her bed astray.
The knight has traveled all that way.

Just to see the mind palace.
It was decorated well.
At first,the hallways are bright.

But you should see how dark it is at night.
The princess slept deep and sound.
Clearly waiting to be found.

In that kingdom rules a king.
The queen disappeared long ago.
And the king has one sacred rule.

For the princess it is oh so cruel.
It’s to keep her locked up in that castle.
Isolated from anything out there.

The princess had stayed there all her years.
She learned to paint to defeat her fears and express herself.
Day by day,the hours went by.

She read all the books in her library.
And painted murals all over the walls.
She even took the time to decorate the halls.

Of the one place that kept her locked up tight.
Because at one point, she got used to it.
But it still gets lonely at night.

No,she does not feel any fright.
For she is familiar with solitude.
She wandered the halls.

But the outside world was still in the back of her mind.
Green grass,tall trees.
Birds flying and honeybees.

And so,one day came a knight.
No,he came at night.
And comforted the princess.

Said,everything will be okay.
You waited night and day.
And so,here I am.

He held me just as tight.
And we slept peacefully through the night.
The dragon is gone.

The guards left on their own.
And the princess found a home.
