Miss. Madam, B.A, LLB
The story of my mother in law, who is graduate with degree in Law. She got married to my Appa, who was post graduate in business. I am writing this story which inspired me to do degree in LLB.
My Appa started a business of first in country seeing the growth opportunity in India, he consulted and informed his father, though he warned him, Appa was strong in his aim to setup the office and start working in oil & gas field, where the country was just in taking up the outsourcing and globalization. He had to be in good terms with then ministers for trying to do with internationals to start work. He united with the minister and his sons, who took partnership in his venture, started doing business. It flourished with revenues, Appa was smart in understanding the oil & gas field fluently thought it was not his field, he sat across the engineers and discussed each and evert point clearly. It was the 90s, he had elder daughter and new born son, both mom was taking care and put aside her career goal to do the practice of law, prioritizing the family and kids.
When one is flourishing well, most of the eyes fall to see how did he grow, the people are against to my Appa started investigating my family growth. There was a raid from CBI, into my Appa’s office, and got leaked some of the under table transactions, which are found to be illegal, knowingly or unknowingly Appa got involved in issues, which CBI caught, soon they filed FIR and issued arrest warrant on Appa. It was the dark cloud that haunted my family, my mom broke where she stood when the police came home and took Appa into custody. My mom regained her conscious not getting into blocked mind, holding two kids she couldn’t sleep and it hit her that I need to reopen law books and get the bail. She could have hired the lawyer, but she took bold decision, no it is my step to protect my husband, and went to her office room, saw her law books that dusted and she cleaned them and started looking into the complaint and details what happened.
On that day she was ready to deal her first case of her own husband, any normal woman would have not bold enough to take up the case, but she knows what she is doing, and she has to get back Appa to home. She wore the black coat and was walking into police station, applied for bail and she got approval of bail and slowly started discussing with Appa, and finally she was in court fighting for her husband who was guilt.
My mom inspired me to do the law degree and I know when we cant get proper protection of innocent from police, then it is the court where you get final judgement, and I know the becoming of lawyer is such a degree where you can get justice for innocent and punish the guilty.
