If praise can brighten someone’s day, then I choose to spend my life loving you, teasing you with mischievous little lines that bring a smile to your face. Your happiness becomes my joy, and your smile becomes my peace.
I grew up hearing the stories of brave souls like Bhagat Singh, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Khadga Brahmanna — freedom fighters who accepted death with fearless smiles in the hands of the British because they lived for a noble cause.
In my life, my husband is that noble reason. He is the one my heart chose to love endlessly. Even when life turns difficult, when expectations break and pain surrounds us, I keep loving him so that a smile never fades from his face.
The world may wound, threaten, and hurt people with cruelty, but my heart only knows how to protect him with love. I am his beholder, the keeper of his dreams, the love that never learns to hurt him — only to cherish him endlessly.
I hold him safely in my anchal, embrace him with my hands, and love him with every prayer that leaves my lips. I ask God every day to keep my husband safe, while my love for him continues to grow deeper with time.
I never loved him with conditions, expectations, or selfish desires. My love asks for nothing in return. I dedicated my life to him, and my soul finds its peace in loving him.
So I keep writing love for him, because every word written from my heart brings a smile to his beautiful face.
