    DWI =Do With Intention

Wake up in the morning, with one goal in mind. How to feed my babies, without committing a crime.   Everyone sees,But can not imagine. How easy it could be.How can this life happen?   Never wanted a picket fence,or a house with a yard. All I could...

    • We do what we must. Well, the good ones do! Like you.
Speak your words, Fia. Take a bow and some praise. It ain’t easy out there. Luckily you’ve discovered the therapy of ceative writing. It DOES help. It can save souls, if we trust ourselves to focus on hope.
      Wonderful, uplifting write my dear.

    • Man. I can relate to this. Not just myself but with my friends and family.
There is no telling where I’d be without my mom. She is my rock.
So empowering!! Thank you for posting !!

    • The kids are everything. And if they’re not…something ain’t right. Felt this one in my maternal DNA.

    • Whatever it takes!

    • Life can be cruel and unfair, so I thank God for mothers like this. It is my great hope that their sacrifices will be rewarded–if not in this life, then the next.

    • Life is a fight. You have invoked a great feeling of grit and determination.
      Regards James

    • I felt this deep in my marrow. Your dedication to those children renewed my faith in humankind. The struggle to keep your children fed and housed moved my heart deeply. This is truly one of your very best poems. It speaks to me of a mother’s love and her oh so protective spirit t keep her children safe, healthy, and well. This is much more than a poem it is a living breathing testament to a mother’s love. I loved this so much.

    Skin Hunger

It's so long since I felt your touch. How do we sleep in the same bed and not even graze each other? You pushed me away, With self-deprecating statements. You tell me you are sorry. As I suffer from your exile. Till death we said. How...

    • Haunted by passion and intimacy gone cold and pallid. I can relate. The question is, how do you reignite a fizzled star.

    • Its quite painful to be in a relationship when libidos get out of sync.
You’ve captured it perfectly in this piece.
I haven’t found a fix …. hope you are more successful.
      😘🙏

    • It’s a sad story as old as time itself. I’m sure at some time in the past cavemen through their cavewomen out into the mud, and space alien women are floating in space because they didn’t clean the dashboard of the UFO controls good enough. 🙂

    • This really captures the ache of a love that feels distant while still sharing the same space. “How did we die? / Laying in this bed.” says so much with so few words.

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. I felt the ache in your words my friend, excellent write. Appreciate you, cuz.

    • Thank you, yes, it is tragic.;))

    • Over sometimes long before it is declared over. No winners. A tie in last place. A slow painful death of a relationship…

    • I think I’ve been in that bed–or one very similar. You express very well the cold shoulder of love collapsing. I wish love potions were real.

    • Fia, this is a heartbreakingly powerful poem. This poem about what happens when one partner in a relationship lets go is such a real human experience that you put into words the burned across the page.
