Faith's Musings (featuring the talented Willow)

Eyes on the horizon darkness will lighten Using faith's musings defenses will tighten   Wrestling with logic to avoid feelings Using humor to shield a tender heart Paper dwellings with painted ceilings  Time moves slowly when spent apart   Tipping scales in search of the truth Guarding vaults...

    • Well..you talk about me musing. Damian this makes you think and think hard. Favorite line
“Freedom’s a fading illusion masked as a tomb”

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I like that line a lot myself. Well, you set the bar high. So I thought I’d better bring my A game. lol. Appreciate you, cuz.

    • You have nailed a hard and important topic with this one, Damian. The majority suffers at the hands and decisions of the few, and in my cynicism, I feel it will always be that way. We must not allow them to distract us overly much (conveniences, sports, politics, religion) or the sooner our end will be upon us. In my mind the song: In The Year 2525, is ever more relevant. Exemplary piece, my friend!

      Keep writing the good stuff

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Clay. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Indeed, “The majority suffers at the hands and decisions of the few.” Distractions are commonplace these days for sure. I try to stay hopeful but it’s not always easy. Appreciate you.

    • this is very powerful it’s true what you say I love this because you brought it to light what everyone knows but don’t talk about ❤️

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Brenda. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I have a history of bringing things to light that most folks don’t wanna talk about. lol. I tend to overthink about a lot of the goings on in this world. Appreciate you.

    • The elite consolidate wealth and power beyond comprehension as the “dream” becomes irrelevant to reality. Perhaps we are becoming a new society of enslavement, as technology is the guise to pacify. Damian, your words are well thought out and expressed.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Angel. So glad you connected with the write my friend. The elite have been fueled by greed and power throughout history. The thing about technology is it cuts both ways. What was once done secretly behind closed doors or in some backroom deal gets leaked because there is no honor amongst thieves, never was. Digital eyes are watching everywhere these days and secrets get exposed by those same eyes meant to keep an eye on John Q. Public. But that’s just my two cents. lol. Appreciate you.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Peter. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Indeed. After all there is no honor amongst thieves. Appreciate you.

    • These things are so much on my mind these days. My daughter tells me we can’t move or breathe without them knowing but we can’t stop. If we give up, they win and that’s what they’re counting on. So we keep picking at the cracks in their armor and building our community. They’ll destroy themselves eventually. I’d like to see them go down sooner than later. Another fantastically pointed piece, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It messes with me as well. Every time my phone or computer turns on the camera for a second, it makes me think how long has it been on when I wasn’t looking. lol. I’ve always written about “Big Brother” watching us since I can remember. Even though the name is dated, like everything else it morphs into something else. Even evil evolves as time moves forward, unfortunately. But I agree that we must keep chipping away at the armor. Appreciate you.

        Damian

    • We’re living in a digitized world where we’re being watched at all times for the benefit of others. I can relate. Nice one, Damian. 🙂

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Sometimes I really miss the analog days.. Appreciate you.

  • This is a heavy song, folks. But since it was Fathers Day, it kinda fits the narrative. Talk to one another while there is time. This one talks for itself. Get ready to possibly cry.
