Oh so much time has passed.
As children, playing and laying in the grass.
Memories like nothing else.

With doubts,nonexistant and always false.
With time,we grew taller.
And we fell even harder.

We reached the stars and skies, planets.
We achieved the impossible.
Now you are nearly 18.

You wonder,where has time been?
Did you perhaps sleep on it?
Or did it pass a while?

Now you are older and ran the mile.
Next thing you know, you are an adult.
Family,job,happiness.

Can be really hard to achieve in this society alone.
Especially if you grew up and lost the throne.
When we were kids,it was easier to make friends.

Apologize for mistakes and make amends.
Now we have grown older.
And guilt looks from behind our shoulder.

You wished you could be 7 years old again, and so did I.
Isn’t it funny and tragic how time does fly?
You wish you could have someone to listen to you as you cry.

But you overgrew that stage, you cannot deny.
Now as an adult, your cries are overlooked.
Telling,you’re grown now!
They tell you,act your age.
But time passed by so fast, like a spell from a mage.
I would give anything to be younger again.

Because overtime, life can feel a little plain.
Years went by,and birds began to fly to east, south.
You learned to put on makeup, lipstick on your mouth.

And you try to make everyone proud.
We have grown up,sure.
But our inner child is still pure.

They tell you, you’re mature for your age.
While you work for salary, minimal wage.
And you turned a new page.

Our inner child is not gone.
Karma will put you on your throne.
