There is a legend far away.
Of a phantom of the opera that watched as people sing away.
He wears a white,haunting mask.

He watches and owns the opera, doesn’t drink from a flask.
They say the ones who saw his face.
Screamed and called him a disgrace.

A soul that had always yearned.
For love to be not avoided, but earned.
He owns the opera and helps you sing well.

Angel of music is the one you tell.
They say he fell for a girl who sang so well.
That he went out of his way to make a wish.

For the opera to not perish.
Days by days,time quickly sways.
And everyone practised their voice.

Those who saw his face were not given a choice.
Some would coward in fear.
But she did not yell at all,nor shed a tear.

Phantom of the opera,is called an angel above.
Of music, which is all he ever had.
Lived a hard past.

And time ran by fast.
They called him the devil in a cage.
Because they say his face looked so bad,as if he was cursed by a mage.

All he ever wanted was to have someone to sing with him.
The stage lights were bright, and sometimes dim.
He watched his angel of music sing from above.

He protected her with all his heart.
And hoped to someday find love, hit the dart.
At the end,his face was revealed.

Everyone gasped in fear.
Some even shed a tear.
But the monster before them was human aswell.

Why does it matter if half his face is burned well?
Masquarade,come join the parade.
Will you wear a mask?

To dull the pain, will he drink from a flask?
Would you shout out and run away?
Or would you give him a chance?

Look at him as he stands before you.
A corrupted soul.
Look at the blinding light.

Who is monster and who is human?
Will we dance tonight?
The phantom of the opera calls out to me.

Give him a chance or leave him be.
