I heard about a carnival coming to town.
The music there is loud and nobody has a frown.
Kids,teenagers.

Adults aswell.
Everyone enjoyed the show.
Entranced in a spell.

Once you arrive at this spectacular performance.
You won’t ever be the same.
You might even change your name.

Or join the carnival for fame.
Everywhere you look,loud music.
Lights and prizes all alone.

A carnival not far from home.
One day it will be your home.
A jester,and acrobat – you decide.

I heard about a carnival in town.
They finally arrived,so I don’t have a frown.
But I may have made a mistake.

I gave a flower to the jester.
And the games began.
He led through the performance.

My eyes bright,not dim.
With him,I felt slim.
They say the carnival will give you a fun time.

With prizes, cotton candy.
And popcorn with caramel topping.
When you come in the carnival, you’ll never be the same again.

You might even join in for the fame.
A circus of wonders and dangers.
Horrors beyond your eyes.

And the jesters perform so well.
At first the jester was very sweet.
He didn’t care was I chubby or petite.

As the performance went by,I felt something was off.
The lights and prizes cheered me up well.
I took in the jester and I fell.

He wore a red hat with bells.
And elegant attire.
I heard there is a carnival in town.

I went and the games began.
Did I fall too hard for the one that made me laugh?
Time quickly went by.

And the carnival slowly began to fade.
And I soon won the games.
At the end,the jester finally told me.

It wasn’t all real.
He says,it’s just how you feel.
And you fell for the one that made you smile.

I woke up in bed and wished it lasted a longer while.
