a lover’s Dream

This entry is part 39 of 45 in the series Poetry of Life, Death & the In-between

I dreamed of you.

While making love to myself I felt you surging inside,

breathing my essence—warm, sensual

gasping pleasure

Later, again, after you said “hi”

as I was high I imagined you touched my thigh,

I stroked your face,

slipped my fingers through soft hair,

gently touched your lips with mine

as seeking fingers trickled down

your long strong chest tracing lines and curves

long faded in my memory

Teasing

Grasping

Stroking

Playing

until my lips had left your lips,

to follow the path my fingers had drawn

down to your pleasure

tasting you for my pleasure

caressing your swollen pulsing…

ah…   pleasure

I moaned with missing you

deep inside my waking dream

where dreamed palpations woke the pulsing

pleasure once held together…

I woke alone,

Moaned with missing you.

Later you said,

“It was wrong of me” and I sighed,

Resigned, making love to myself

Alone

an insatiable lover’s dream.

    1. Oh my goodness, this…this. So damn good.

Erotic, sensual, romantic, tender, heartbreaking, hot, swoon-worthy…

Girl. You’re amazing. My daily fix list is getting entirely too long (but I love it).
