The beat, rhythm and pace is like a racing car! The reader wouldn’t know are You talking about a woman or a car lol. The closing lines are brilliant, and “unique styles” it is. Wonderful poem, to read it in the morning it fuels us with good energy to start the engine ✨

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Light. So glad you connected with the write my friend. That was the vibe I was going for I love when a write has more than one perspective or dual meanings. Thanks for that wonderful commentary. Appreciate you.

Corvette! Corvette! I’m a ‘Vette girl. But that’s mostly because daddy was a Chevy guy and Ford was a dirty word around him. Once wrote a poem about a Mustang once though. Much enjoyed this one, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I like cars in general, but I’m kinda a Ford guy though. Though I like Chevy’s too. Dodge is my least favorite. It was a dirty word around my dad when I was growing up. lol. Appreciate you.

This had the rumbling force of a corvette being geared up for a rip roaring ride down the highway. And to me it also read like a sensual poem about the power of the engine getting ready to fly like bat out of hell down the highway of love. Fantastic work my friend.

Beautifully penned, Fia. I remember last Thanksgiving on DU as well. I agree that our new home is special, and I appreciate all the work you put in to keep the site running, cuz. Along with Sam and Bobbington and all that contribute to keeping the lights on in our creative sanctuary. I’m thankful for this community of gifted writers and amazing people who share their stories and invite us to experience their journey with them. Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Stars Rite family! Appreciate you all.

Chère F.,
What a lovely idea to organise a Thnksgiving dinner.
I am still grateful for a number of very successful coops with DUP people. Very rewarding in terms of the gentle fun of putting energy into the work and make it work. From some 4.500 listens, to an estimated 12.500 (Loving you – with Faith Maree), it resonated immensely in Europe. I am trying in a very small way, to make that happen again.
I can perfectly understand that the burden on the DUP mistress became too heavy. Therefore, I am most grateful/thankful that you have taken the initiative to give us a safe harbour here.
And I will try to extend my being thankful to the rest of the days, and not only on the 27th of November.Warm regards, Gus

You served a delicious meal with your writing😘-
I left you the best part of the turkey. Did you bring the apple cider? Kinda thirsty.
Appreciate you and your talent here

Okay, Fia, I’ll look out for that, but I’m curious as hell! So what’s it all about? I’ve never heard of this before.

Now this one I can see a bit of the dark side. There’s a deeply relatable element to this that transcends subject or time. Depending on the point of being, it fits multiple topics. We write from a perspective and when it’s shared, it develops unexpected layers. I would like to have seen it performed during your 15 minutes of fame. It must have had a tremendous draw to it, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I was in a very dark place when I penned this one, I was going through something heavy, and it came out in the words. The one thing I truly love about what we do as writers, is the multiple meanings the reader or listener can take away from our words. We as the writer know what we’re really talking about or going through when we create. The reader doesn’t have those blinders on, they are in fact another point of view, without the writers biases. It is a great little song. It got a response from the crowd. Appreciate you.
