how does it feel to die
staring it right in the face
how does it feel to lie
knowing it makes the blood race
why does it end this way
leaving an empty void inside
why does it stop today
taking that remainder of pride
left to my own devices
a moment that bares crisis
tears fall from my eyes
inside i’m devastated
heart of stone that cries
my soul is now aspirated
what is remaining to take
sober thoughts that are lonely
what else can you forsake
my love my one and only
where’s the light at the end
now that times standing still
where’s the hand that can mend
now that darkness falls ill
left to my own devices
a moment that bares crisis
tears fall from my eyes
inside i’m devastated
heart of stone that cries
my soul is now aspirated
when did i cross the line
the point of no return
when did i cross the line
there’s nothing left to burn
my soul is now….
my soul is now….
aspirated..
aspirated..

Now this one I can see a bit of the dark side. There’s a deeply relatable element to this that transcends subject or time. Depending on the point of being, it fits multiple topics. We write from a perspective and when it’s shared, it develops unexpected layers. I would like to have seen it performed during your 15 minutes of fame. It must have had a tremendous draw to it, my friend
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I was in a very dark place when I penned this one, I was going through something heavy, and it came out in the words. The one thing I truly love about what we do as writers, is the multiple meanings the reader or listener can take away from our words. We as the writer know what we’re really talking about or going through when we create. The reader doesn’t have those blinders on, they are in fact another point of view, without the writers biases. It is a great little song. It got a response from the crowd. Appreciate you.

This makes me feel your pain. The growl had to be wicked on this song.
Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I was in pain when I penned this, so the words are ripe with it. The growl makes its point known. Appreciate you, cuz.
