Once: No Going Back
It’s the 25th day of Poetry Month,
and this must be said
with the honesty of reality. There was hope once,
it flowed easily
from Summer’s green fields
strewn with wildflowers,
to Winter’s white,
with snowflakes of individuality.
But, it was a false hope,
one seen through illusion’s eye.
A lie,

Beautifully penned, Fia. Excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. Dig the Star Trek reference by the way. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

“Would you ever want the loop to end?“
That’s a great, almost philosophical question. Some people like to escape a loop because they only see the endless repetition of the same actions. To me it holds the chance to experience new aspects of old routines on the basis of familiar facts. It’s adventurous and reliable at the same time.
Great write, dear Fia! -
I recently had a co worker/friend who lost her husband. He was a young guy too. I read this feeling like you could have wrote this for them, and my heart breaks all over. Thank you for this sad beautiful read.
