Hello and welcome to another edition of Stars Rite News
We have updated the site.
You can now have your post be private and members only. This is what you will have to do:
First write and publish your work. Go to the above bar where it says, “Write”. Click on it. Don’t go to the right side, it will take you to the page and not to where you want to get the options.
Once you click on it, you’ll see all of your posts, and you’ll click on the ones that you want only, members only to see. It is a drop down that said “Yes or No”
This page will not be viewed by anybody that is not a member of Stars Rite. This was created due to some of the writers who want only their writing for members only.
Which is fine and we understand. You can still publish your work on the main page, and people from the outside can view it.
The second update is the audio files in the back. There was concern that the audio was not linking up when you posted. That is because that is geared to be sent to friends and not for the outside.
So, if I wanted to share the audio to say, for instance, Sam. I will put it in that area and just direct it to Sam. He will receive it, and it will be saved there, but it will not be saved on the outside.
I think that is where the confusion lies. If you’re posting an audio or a song on the main page, it will not automatically go in the back to be saved. It does not work that way.
What you do is post it in the back by clicking on audio and uploading it there, and it will be saved there for you to send it to your friends or just to hold it for yourself.
It’s two separate entities on the site. Hopefully I made that clear. If you’re still confused, you can always reach out to me, and I’ll explain it again.
What you put as audio in the front, on the main page will not automatically sync up into your private file. That you can upload yourself, and it will save that way.
Two things that were needed to be clarified and the other created. We are listening, and we are always updating the site to make it a better place for you to engage and post your work.
If you have any other suggestions that are feasible that we can implement, we will do so.
