When they began
They held hands
They smiled
They illuminated the sky
Chairs were held
Giggles slipped freely
And the thought of
What base is a good one for this date
Time goes by
Rings were bought
Vows were said
In laws glare rivaling Spoke on star trek at Dr. McCoy
Every step in life taken
It was with a handheld
Then it slipped
It faded
Gone
One or the other are alone
Except for the memories
Of walks
Of tears
Of outburst
Of watching each other
Fight the years
Would you turn back
Begin again
Will they still be
The same
Would you ever want the loop to end?

I enjoyed this one. Without a doubt, if holding hands is how it ends…I would not change a thing.
Thank you Angel Louise;))
Beautifully penned, Fia. Excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. Dig the Star Trek reference by the way. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

Thank you cuz. I am a Star Trek fan lol:))
“Would you ever want the loop to end?“
That’s a great, almost philosophical question. Some people like to escape a loop because they only see the endless repetition of the same actions. To me it holds the chance to experience new aspects of old routines on the basis of familiar facts. It’s adventurous and reliable at the same time.
Great write, dear Fia!
Thank you Sappho;))
I recently had a co worker/friend who lost her husband. He was a young guy too. I read this feeling like you could have wrote this for them, and my heart breaks all over. Thank you for this sad beautiful read.
Thank you Brandon;))

Thank you Thomas;))
Wow a lot of times if the love and bond is that strong it would be hard to live without them.
I know a friend who recently past a few months after because he couldn’t live without his beloved wife.
Powerful great write
That does happen. If the bond is that strong. thank you Lizz:))
Finding a soul mate is hard enough in a lifetime but then losing them?
Yes, that ending line does beg the question many people would agree to.
Great piece.
Thank you, Wally;))
