More About Me

Richard "Rascal" Jenkins
Published Master Poet, Poet Laureate Emeritus for The International Poetry Library (Old Blue).
The photo above is of a young me in Rota, Spain … my U.S. Navy days – I was 20 or 21.
I began writing poetry at nine, when my College Poet Laureate Aunt taught me the English Sonnet and Blank Verse forms.
Since, I've learned over 150 poetic forms, become a published artist, and taught poetry to numerous poetesses and poets, many who've published their own books.
One of my greatest joys is to read and review others' poetic works, and to have them read and review my own humble efforts.
I will offer critique or lend a helping hand when asked, but no longer charge for lessons, preferring now to give back freely to this wonderful art that's gifted me so very much as a poet and a person.
I hope you will take time to read and enjoy my work, and feel free to offer whatever you believe will help improve my skills … it's an important step in how we learn and reach our highest potentials.
Thanks for reading my mini-poetry bio!
