    Frozen Tears

Cool autumn breeze shrouds my shoulders crisp cerulean brings forth  the last of muggy days while flowers set about to wilt   Tree leaves burst a montage of color flutter like birds who cavort   One can reap a slight rush when wind begs for attention and rips the leaves with...

    • This is beautiful. I like the description of the wind begging for attention.
      Welcome to Stars Rite.

    • Autumn is my favourite season – is there there anything that explains that death is an un-permanent? Whatever the long sleep, there’ll be a memory, an emotion, a tear or two, a baby born and happines derived from that wee darling’s first cry. You write with enormous sensitivity to life and also your love of Life and its companions. Many, many thanks for sharing not on fine writing but its meaning.

    • As beautiful and inspiring as autumn is, to witness the leaves in their pendulum dance, has a tendency to get me a little emotional. We learn so much from the trees – in their letting go. Your poetic offering of such an eloquent season brings it all into view, Betty. Thank you for your inspiring words today!

    The Great Deceiver

Fueled by a consuming rage Pointed at every situation  As I fall into the final stage Right before the initiation Locked inside self-torment  Wiggling out of the noose Keeping all the spirits dormant Until madness is busting loose   Pressure building within me Anger clouding all that I see   Face...

    • Oh yeah, this one definitely needs a place on the album! I hope it’s coming along well! The halls are a bit echo-ey without you wandering them as often, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It’s going, though it took a while to get my “Logic Pro” software. Which allows me to mix better and I can even master my music with it. But, I got a song mapped out structurally, I have lyrics for everything but the bridge. Which I just came up with that bridge tonight. Gotta record vocals, and backing vocals next. Hopefully, I’ll be letting you hear it soon. I miss you too, my friend. You’ve been penning some excellent work my friend. Thanks for your continued support, it means a lot to me. Appreciate you.

    • I get the sense of internal conflict, and the rhythm and urgency make it clear these are lyrics meant to be performed.

The energy builds perfectly toward the chorus: “Face to face with destiny…” I especially like the line “Loyal to the art of betrayal” – it’s a great, concise piece of wordplay.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Roma. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I love that line as well. Appreciate you.

    • More great lyrics, Damian. Very heavy stuff. I hope to hear the music someday.

    Brain Burn

Brain burn, fire of thought-a little bit ofbroken legion-poems,              off...in the mist of faulty wiring from synapse charring, Freedom: that rabid mongrel sawed the wings off gibbering angels, how they touched me: here,         here, & especially               ...

    • The layout is perfect for the rhythm to shine here.
Sometimes the thoughts we have turn into fiery poems, and often those thoughts burn up before they get to the page.
WE hope to be able to scrape up some of the embers and still put a piece on the page.
      “here, here and especially here.”

    • This was a fun read. I was told you get more philosophical when smoking. Instead, you get the brain burn. Nice
