Summary:
Circa 1993. This one is a collaboration, folks. The lyrics are 50/50 between me and J.J. Burton. He's cool with me telling these stories, and sharing lyrics. I don't know who wrote which line anymore. Appreciate you. Damian DeadLove.
This entry is part 4 of 17 in the series DeadLove Lyrics

death is seeps into my pores

disease it eats me to the core

my body is slowly decaying

authentic pain keeps reigning

this pain, my pain

it’s all of my own

my authentic pain

never leaves me alone

angel of mercy

there’s nothing to save

this pain, pain, pain

leads me to my grave

loss of mind, loss of speech

pain has a timeless reach

blood stains the stainless knife

healing the scars of my life

this pain, my pain

it’s all of my own

my authentic pain

never leaves me alone

angel of mercy

there’s nothing to save

this pain, pain, pain

leads me to my grave

the bugs creep into my pores

eating bile from the coffin floor

maggots prevail, they speak my tongue

sad existence dying young

this pain, my pain

it’s all of my own

my authentic pain

never leaves me alone

angel of mercy

there’s nothing to save

this pain, pain, pain

leads me to the grave

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I used AI to make the artwork. We had a few tracks on a cassette at one time. lol. I can’t remember the music to this one anymore, the lyrics are all that remain. Appreciate you.

    1. This reminds me so much of my early writing. Back when I was accused of being morbid. It comes as it comes, doesn’t it? Sign of a great collaboration when you can no longer remember who wrote what. This one stirs in the back of my mind. Out of curiosity, how many songs/lyrics does your catalog contain? Im looking forward to seeing more, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. Our lives mirror each other a lot, is what I’m thinking. I was accused of the same. It became my calling card. lol. It was only my second collaboration ever. Quite a few actually, now not all of them got music, I usually tell that in the summary. At one time I kept count of possible ideas. I had over 500 when I stopped keeping count. Now not all are great, some I won’t share because I’m not the person who penned those songs anymore. And I was in a horrible place, it’s actually painful to read some of them. A writer leaves breadcrumbs in their work. As a writer I tend to document my life. lol. Appreciate you.
