- Moonlight Glow
Let me tell you a tale.
Of a glowing sun far away that fell.
When it’s day,it shines brightly.
And darkness doesn’t want to fight me.
The sun one day was up in the sky.
She questioned,I feel weird,broken.
But why?
One day,the sun had met the moon.
And with time, she became glowing brighter soon.
The moon that she lends her bright glow to.
And so it repeats.
The moon does the same, don’t you think it fits?
The sun at first was starting to become dim and low.
As the day ends and a quiet night follow.
The sun was under the horizon, lost in her thoughts.
And sometimes,in her mind she floats.
The sun kept shining bright.
She knew she had found a friend.
Someone to love her,and help her defend.
Ever since the days are brighter.
And the sun started to become braver,a fighter.
The sun then shared her glow towards the night starts.
And in the night sky were beating hearts.
The sun asks, but will I still have my glow?
If the moon no longer exist or no longer follow?
Would there still be bright days at summer?
And the cold nights and wind at winter?
A valentine’s day gift with a card?
Or feelings that are painful and hard?
The sun and moon always switched places.
Together, they shined brightly and keep balance.
Sunshine soon came and fell.
The moon shined upon the wishing well.
When the sun was a kid,she was full of woe.
She hoped somebody would return her glow.
As kids around her treated her like a freak show.
She hoped a prince charming would show.
And lift her up when she feels low.
All the sun wanted was to be whole.
Then ,one day she met someone brighter than a star.
They healed eachother and went far.
The sun asks,could you believe?
That I found someone, even though I seemed naive?
The sun spoke to the moon in highs and lows.
They glow he doesn’t see she borrows.
And finally, a sunny day follows.

Captivating…I was lost in your story, Rose.
I like to look at this piece as metaphorical analogy – a description of friendship and how people glow off each other. As simple as you seem to make it, the piece exemplifies the complexity of relationships – how our energy feeds one another. I like it.
