I am writing and wishing you well.
You were a child,I know you did not deserve that hell.
I’m writing to come and ask.

Are you ready, are you hanging on?
Or is life still a task?
Little me,you did not deserve the pain.

You just wanted someone to hold you.
With a gaze now so plain.
I am writing to come here and ask.

Do you still believe in love?
Are you still hopeful?
Or did you drink from the flask?

Are you still painting and reading books?
Singing along to songs and relate?
I know I may be writing a little late.

I am you,now many years later.
You probably did not expect to survive this long.
You wanted life to become easier.

To make new friends.
So respond to my letter.
And we’ll make amends.

Sometimes,I still miss you.
And the childish joy and glee.
I still think about you.

But I am you,you are me.
I grew up and my childhood flee.
When I was you,I wanted to be free.

But they cut the branches off my tree.
You are me,I am you.
We both had to survive this world oh so cruel.

I remember a time we thought ghouls rule.
You remember that show,don’t you?
It was a part of us.

Of our childhood.
We wanted to open a portal and run away.
To a safe, fictional place far away.

We wanted to study in Monster High.
We wanted to be free and fly.
Tell me,are our bunnies still alive?

Because nowadays, they live in my heart.
When I were you, things were just simpler.
You didn’t have to worry about growing older.

I still keep your drawings in a folder.
Sometimes I miss you.
Tell me,when will you come back?

So I don’t slowly decompose and lack?
Alas,if there was a way.
I would do it right away.

To the day we used to laugh and play.
I will wait for your response.
Sincerely,red rose.
