It’s Christmas eve.
And we are about to receive.
Gifts from loved ones all.

Gifts we love,gifts we admire.
That make us feel whole.
A gift with a lot of thought is what I needed.

I asked her ,what would you like?
She said, happiness for my family and health.
And then Christmas eve strike.

I was walking down the snowy streets.
In my furry boots, the ground in white sheets.
I passed by stores oh so many.

With gifts of all kinds.
And I hoped she doesn’t mind I’m late.
Alas,I found it.

And it’s a gift she won’t hate.
Through the glass, something adorable I could just see.
It smiles and winked at me.

It was a small white plush dog with white fur.
With a cat,a hat, and doesn’t purr.
The scarf it wore was in festive colors, green and red.

The button nose was black.
And so were the eyes.
With red spots,red paws.

And green hat and scarf.
It was in the size of a dwarf.
But it was as cute as can be.

I asked myself,should I buy it?
But the sight couldn’t let me be.
I just wanted her to smile when she sees it.

Inside the box wrapped oh so neat.
In colors ,wrapping paper.
And Christmas eve would be neat.

I wonder, will she like it or throw away?
Maybe keep it on display all day.
Maybe if we spend some time together.

And drink hot cocoa however.
The gift will sweeten up like chocolate cake.
Not store bought,homemade.

I know the memory won’t ever fade.
For the gift was sweeter than a chocolate milkshake.
It’s not a phony or a fake.

And it’s easy to bake.
As for me,I am not sure what I want.
And to choose might be hard.

But the truth is,I want a happy new year.
Filled with friends and cheer.
One of my wishes is the glowing moon.

To come up in the sky and celebrate with me.
I know I will find everyone the perfect gift.
And even if not,he still has me.

Wrap me in wrapping paper to be his gift.
And everything will lift off his shoulders.
Merry Christmas to all borders.
