They thought the devil has horns, and so did I.
But that is more likely a lie.
He wears a black suit and tie.

To look modest and fit in,he does try.
He may offer you a deal with a bright smile.
So charming,you’d stay a while.

He’d ask you for your soul.
In exchange of not feeling foul.
The devil isn’t a red man with horns.

He is a red rose with petals and thorns.
He tries to fit in and seem normal.
And his clothes,oh so formal.

He thinks that making deals is normal.
He’s nice, polite and may catch you by surprise.
You won’t think to back away.

He would ask you, please, give me your soul.
And you would hypnotize and begin to sway.
The devil isn’t a little man with horns.

And he may try and show you the way.
But he is still wearing a mask.
Drinking souls and life from a flask.

They say,he would fight for what is right.
To him,to fight,tonight.
He may catch you by surprise, wearing his suit and tie.

A smile,oh so bright.
And you’d want to stay all day and night.
But don’t be fooled.

For he looks normal, but where are his horns?
Where are his thorns and petals that teeth close?
Soon enough, you may fall in his trap.

And he’ll drown and kill you like a rat.
He walks under the moonlight.
To make a deal – he’s always right.

He may be carrying a gun and knife.
If he has to,he’ll fight.
To make and assure everything is alright.

You’ll see clear as light.
And soon see all the signs.
Run before it’s too late.

Do you think still that he has horns?
That he is a red rose with thorns?
His smile will oh so charm you.
