They tell the tale of a princess afar.
Her life was long and happy.
But stuck in a tower.

Guarded by a dragon oh so mighty.
Covered in scales,red fire breath.
And the princess cries and tells.

The dragon kept her in that tower.
He says,it’s for your safety.
But it only gives him power.

The princess daydreamed all day long.
For a knight to come and save her.
So they can love for very long.

Her eyes droopy with fatigue.
And her hair brushing out in intrigue.
The dragon kept her stuck there nice and well.

The princess hoped,please save me.
And wanted to be near her wishing well.
She wanted a knight to climb in the tower.

Maybe defeat the dragon and overpower.
So she can live a life peaceful and divine.
She thought,if he did that.

She would always smile.
She won’t be stuck in the castle.
Or tower oh so tall.

She’ll begin to fall for the knight and fall.
Maybe he will climb up her hair and locks.
And they will exchange loving looks.

Then the dragon will intervene.
And he’ll fight the best he’s ever been.
The princess hoped every single day.

For someone to save her and sweep her away.
One day,a brave knight appeared to the front.
And he saw the miserable princess in the tower.

Near the castle front.
The years passed by.
She would kill time by painting murals on the walls.

Decorating the castle halls.
I have a theory,hear me out.
Maybe the dragon didn’t let her out, because he was lonely.

Nobody else but the princess by his side.
Family all gone.
The princess sweeped off the throne.

Will she get a happily ever after?
Will the tale not end well?
Is she under some sort of spell?

But eventually, she had to wake up and run away.
And come back to daydreaming another day.
Life is not a fairytale.

But with him,I got so much to tell.
I remember the day we met and we both fell.
