- I lived for real and still live
Somehow I feel my in-laws lived for each other. And reached heaven missing each other
My father-in-law thought he will not be burden to his kids and mother-in-law passed away missing her husband thinking not to be burden to her kids.
They lived together till they can sustain without needing help..
In olden days there was sathi sahagam where wife has to die when husband dies, few followed with love and few as ritual.
But to me in this modern world if husband dies women gets more freedom to do things which their husband didn’t allow. Few take more as person who can manage better. Few feel they have got rid off husband.
I have same thoughts and love to my husband like my mother-in-law, I love my husband and I live for him and this is my love for my husband to be with him wherever he is.
I would see sathi sahagamam evolved for me and not to those people who enjoy life of widow.
I miss my in-laws. They are with me blessing us.
Jessy Jacob.
