You sew it on,stitch by stitch.
You add color, paint to scratch the itch.
You make it out of fabric and wool.
And use a special tool.
Make sure it’s a soft material or wool.
Whether you are making a stuffed animal or your heart.
You craft it yourself and aim for the dart.
It comes from the bottom of your heart, your well.
And you make it with love aswell.
Maybe it could be a scrapbook for somebody you know.
Or a stuffed animal for a child you grow.
Stitch by stitch,thread by thread.
You work on it everyday.
Once it’s all done, the rushing goes away.
You present to them your heart, your gift.
And hope the message doesn’t drift.
Once more,stitch by stitch.
What color scratches your itch?
Is it pink or blue?
When you make it,make sure to use soft wool.
You could even add ears and a tail.
You could dress it with a fabric veil.
And you make a new story to tell.
The stuffed toy will pass on and on.
You hope your kid likes your work.
And doesn’t just throw it in the dirt.
Sticth by stitch, you use gold threat.
To make embroidered details in black or red.
And they put it permanently on their bed.
Red ,pink or blue thread?
Would you use to crochet a blanket for your bed?
Or make a stuffed animal for tears you shed?
I wonder,will you make a doll?
Or a design all your own?
Will you make a toy for the next one on the throne?
Will the doll be polite and kind?
Like the person on my mind?
Will they have kindness true?
Or will I become a fool?
Perhaps there is a small piece of me in each.
Colors and threads quietly switch.
Sure,call me a witch.
But you still get one of each.
I make my dolls to make people happy.
So I put in it all my heart.
Brown eyes,brown hair.
A doll design very fair.
Let’s travel,don’t know where.
But I will always be there.
A doll to cherish and share.
Don’t know where,how or fair.

There’s such tenderness and care here with a touch of vulnerability. Your work is genuine and filled with hope, Rose. I think that’s what I like best.
This reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. I enjoyed this piece.
