I get ready and get into bed.
Fluff up my pillows and forget the tears I shed.
I get comfortable under my fuzzy blankets.

And I begin to dream and imagine.
If I were to leave my body behind for the night.
I would fly up the starry skies in sight.

I would check up on everyone I love.
Make sure they are sleeping well.
I’ll cherish the memories.

And protect them from nightmares swell.
I know if I do,the glowing moon will be far above.
And traveling outside of my body won’t be hard.

Or maybe I’ll hope the moon is sleeping well.
Alongside my childhood wishing well.
I may not be a nymph or a god.

But if I could ,I would make sure their dreams are not bad.
I would travel far up in the sky.
And I would plant a star for them to look at,so nobody does cry.

If I were to leave my body behind for just one night.
I would gaze up the stars and take flight.
As my sleeping body stays in bed.

And traveling,I wipe all the tears I shed.
Maybe I will travel far and space.
And meet a familiar or new face.

Like the bright glow of the moon.
And the sun that comes up soon.
Maybe I will dream far,far away.

And I would meet my groom.
I would wear the stars as my veil.
And experience a new life soon.

If I could escape this world for just one night.
I would relax and stop trying to fight.
As the stars above me watch astray.

I’ll feel peace and love all the way.
While my physical body stays in bed.
I can’t help but watch over it.

Like an angel above.
My sleeping body,moonlit.
As the moon smiles down at me.

And the sun greets my eyes.
My soul wanders and time flies.
Nobody mourns or cries.

In the morning,I am back home.
In a body all my own.
I get up from my bed,a throne.

And I may forget the adventures of my traveling soul.
I wake up and not feel foul.
As love inside my spirit grow.
