🎵🎵 You can play the song at the bottom of the page if you'd like. Thanks!

My dear
My love for you is getting weaker
Like connecting to a distant Bluetooth speaker
No receiver
Sorry for the analogy
But to me our bond is like yesterday’s technology
So my apologies

This might be the last time
This might be the last time
This might be the last time

You might need a new line
You might need a new line
You might need a new line
‘Cause
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
So you might need a new line

I’m tryna let you down easy
But my Bluetooth
Can’t connect to your receiver
I said
Sorry for the analogy
But my love for you
Is yesterday’s technology
So I apologize

This was my last
This might be the last time
This might be the last time

You might need a new line
You might need a new line
You might need a new line
‘Cause
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
So you might need a new line

My love for you is losing bars
Like a GPS in a tunnel of cars
No direction
The signal fades like a VHS tape
Your words rewind but never escape
No connection
Static in my head
No clarity
We’re buffering in eternity

Sorry for the analogy
But we’re stuck in yesterday’s technology
No updates
No repair
We’re floppy disks in the age of air
So my apologies
We’re just yesterday’s technology

So I apologize

This was my last
This might be the last time
This might be the last time

You might need a new line
You might need a new line
You might need a new line
‘Cause
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
This might be the last time
So you might need a new line

  1. This is an amazing accomplishment, my friend. All of the references to technology, and the way you use them is like candy — so sweet and perfect. I just want to stop for a moment and admire phrases like, “We’re floppy disks in the age of air,” or, “The signal fades like a VHS tape,”and so many others. So beautiful in so many ways: the words, the music all meld into a magical achievement. Why the hell aren’t you famous?

  2. FD said I had to come, listen/read your words. I am so glad I did. Loved the word play, the technology references, damn, the whole song. Many snaps and a bag of chips!!!
