you left me a scar
under September rain,
Petrichor on my skin
a reminder that sky and earth
can union in one place.
you smelt like home
the warmth of a mother I never had
the backbone of the father I lost
long long time ago.
you smelt like me
my soul and my sincerity,
the wee parts inside
those which in need to bloom
into a full integrity.
my relationship with you
is like the rain on pebbles,
where I am the beautiful unseen
and You are the poetry in motion
alive through water rhythms.
I come again today
sad and devotee
to hold the old of you
the young of you
the forever of you.
there I am
in the intimate of the upcoming winter,
the pertichor it is me,
and You are the inspiration of the rain
that I will always long for
and the love I have passed alive
over centuries.
