Always a spark but never a flame
ideas float off in the night
always on benches but not in the game
without heat to stay alight
No catalyst does its work on its own
it cries out for interaction
some fertile fuel to sustain the burn
igniting a vivid reaction
Always a spark but never a flame
a novelty, brilliant and brief
a heart that feels wild in a life that is tame
alone as an autumn leaf

Chère K.,
I’m happy that you posted poems again.
What a way to start the weekend!
I love it a lot!
Warm regards, Gus
I like the image of the autumn leaf…they drift in the wind. No tether and unable to remain where they choose. Powerful imagery here
Beautifully penned, K. Another excellent write my friend. Such precise imagery you really paint a picture. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.
