By all means take a break but do so on your terms. When we put ourselves out there we risk the judgement of others. That should not stop you.
Didn’t stop Picasso or Dali or Neruda or countless others whose talent was rejected by the mainstream. -
Take your time, Willow. Who ever told you that is a straight up liar and also knows nothing about writing my friend. You’re a powerful voice and writer and there are people here in this community that know. I know I’m not the only one that knows that here on Stars. Do what you gotta do, you and your voice will be missed my friend. Be safe and we await your return. Appreciate you.

Your poetry is wonderful. Don’t let idiots bring you down. Everyone is so hateful these days. Some people don’t feel good unless they are bringing others down. Honestly when I get criticism it usually makes me want to write more. Poetry is a reflection to the soul. At least that’s how I feel about it. There’s no wrong way.
I do get it though. Writing is discouraging these days. It just doesn’t feel the same for me. Maybe because I miss my DUP friends. Maybe I just don’t have the time like before. You shouldn’t feel like your words don’t have meaning though. They do and they are good because they are your soul.

Hey there Willow, we write mostly for ourselves. We have a NEED to express in artistic ways how we see the world, each other, ourselves; to communicate!! This need is as natural and beautiful as Spring rain. And for those of us who love the rain, are not afraid of getting wet, who want to see and experience the world through others’ eyes, welcome your words and the music found in them.
To the person who said this to you I say: FUCK YOU! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ART IS, AND FOR. YOU ARE NOT ONLY AN ARROGANT ASS, BUT INHUMAN AS WELL.
Willow, I enjoy reading your words, listening to the words and music. In my opinion, you are an artist, have value as an artist and more importantly as a person, and, through your art contribute to what’s good in human beings. I hope you know this and internalize it.

It’s taken me a minute to remember. I’m grateful the person who said it wasn’t part of this community. But they hit a very tender nerve at exactly the wrong moment and I crashed out. I had to take a step back and remember who I am, where I’ve been, how far I’ve come and how strong I am. I write to heal and to connect. But even giants have a weakness, and I’m no giant. Thank you so much for your words and your support, Curt. It means a lot to me

Powerful, real & honest. You bought up all excellent points here. A reminder, Mid terms in November. We all need to get out there and vote!

Amen, who puts a draft dodger and proven business failure over their country. Tight one Lady. You know there are a many that are with this piece and many political pieces on this site, but for whatever reason refuse to speak up.

Unapologetically penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Spitting facts though out this powerful write my friend. And also you have a great rant voice, chef’s kiss on the narration. Keeping that bonfire burning, let me know when you need more matches. Appreciate you.

I felt the strength behind this. Man you broke down everything and still people turn a blind eye to everything because if they say they were wrong then that’s admitting they are part of the problem.
-
They choose what they want to believe because it gives them validation for their own failures, inadequacies and hatred. They will always follow the Us/Them philosophy. They need a Them to target. Bullies always do. Thing is…we outnumber them. And that scares them. Cornered creatures always turn vicious.

My daughter and I were up much of the night following the murder, crying and holding each other. She was only a couple years older than my daughter. And the evil took her from her rightful place in life. Silenced her words. Stole a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife. That can’t be returned. But we can keep her name alive in minds.

Brilliant and sad.
It’s a dangerous time for American citizens, especially those that dare to be different or decent.
-
This is an appropriate piece for the times, but sadly it’s going to get so much worse. So many more of the defiant ones will lose there lives for freedom. But when you don’t know history it’s bound to repeat itself, maybe Revelations saw all of this.
-
Powerfully penned, Willow. A heartfelt tribute to a fallen sister of the pen, but most of all a mother and a human being taken from her child and loved ones. It’s fucking disgusting behavior by a bunch of twisted fucks who aren’t qualified for the job and looking to spill innocent blood. I truly don’t recognize this world anymore. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

I wish I didn’t recognize it. These are the same people who were once shamed and termed as criminal for their actions. Now they work for the ultimate evils. Corruption has the reign now. But we’ll take it back. In all likelihood, it will take a war or two to get there. Thank you, my friend. We’re all feeling the pain of such a senseless act. We live in a lawless land now

The best poem on her I’ve heard. This is very moving Willow. I can only hope to write like this someday.
-
Such a brilliant and touching piece Willow. As many said here, this is going to get worse until someone or many revolt and fight the opposition. November elections are so very important! Until then, be alert and one step ahead of this ruthless, tyrannical dictator!

This hurts in the quiet way that lasts longer than outrage. You’re not trying to explain grief—you’re standing inside it and letting it speak for itself. The repetition of “we will shout your name” feels like a vow, not a slogan, and the turn from shouting to whispering at the end is where this poem really guts me. That’s the truth of mourning: public rage fades, but private grief keeps breathing. This is restrained, honest, and necessary. Keep writing like this.

A light removed, undeserved. Regardless of her motivations, none of it warranted a death sentence.
A wonderful, albeit bittersweet, write, Willow.

This is a very scary time. I think we need to be sad, angry, but also hopeful. And also most importantly we need to take action. This is a fight for humanity. We will lose friends and we will be called names and some of us will die for our freedom. But every Democrat needs to understand this doesn’t change without voices and voting.
Great poem, friend.
-
“Some of us will die for our freedom…” my daughter and I have been having these kinds of conversations. I have family members who just want to keep their heads down and not make a fuss to avoid notice. If we all do that, who will be left to defend and fight for what should be an inherent human right? I can’t even tell you how many pieces I’ve written in the past year about it. Thank you, my friend

Powerful writing, dear Willow! And a sad truth. The Christian hardliners are often exactly the same people who take Christian charity the least serious. Deeply human principles would be so easy to understand. “Love is the only rational act.” ( Mitch Alboum, Tuesdays with Morrie)
-
There are very few folk who sound good when they post like this in my opinion .. You sound great .. and I dig the message you have woven so well through todays fine offering .. I hope whoever motivated you to put pen to paper has learned something as well as a lesson .. Now go well and write on .. Yeah’ no need to be gentle with a voice like that .. Neville

The biggest hypocrites in existence are of the church, the most patriotic people have never served their country’s. The loudest ones screaming now supported their downfall. Tight piece Lady
-
First, of all your voice is perfect for this. Second, this is an eye-opener message. If only people would see.

hello beautiful Willow this is very uplifting the current climate of fear is getting to me I fear a lot…this put my mind at peace❤️

This is such a beautiful song. Very powerful and you are absolutely right, we need community. Thank you for this.

Brilliantly penned, Willow. Now that’s a bonfire! Excellent lyrics with an amazing musical arrangement. Really liked the drums in this my friend. That third stanza worked as a bridge, I really loved the build to that moment, the bridge brought it all home. It was also the heaviest part of the song with the drums working like exclamation points to your words. When my brother was a drummer in a certain band, I often referred to him as: “The Human Exclamation Point.” Drummers help put emphasis on lyrics in my opinion. Nicely done per usual. Appreciate you.

This feels like walking alongside the poem itself—hand in hand through both shadow and light. I love how it turns struggle into hope, and hope into a quiet, unshakable victory.
-
Yes I will walk together with you and in hand, dear Willow, and burn yesterday’s pain to substitute it with new hope which you inspire so brilliantly with this masterpiece!

Awwwwwwww nice!
This is like sugar for day old coffee, making it tolerable. Like a rare seashell after the bombardment of the ocean’s waves.
Thank you for this treasure of a poem. It’s a gem. -
This is not only poetry but something else beside .. I could probably both read and listen to it pretty much round the clock .. Neville 😎💛⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌻👍

Hey, I do not know who told you that, but they are wrong. Your writing is inspiring and emotional. If you like what you have written, then they have no right to tell you that your work is shit. WTF. I swear, when is everyone going to see that we are all individuals and we express our thoughts in our own way? I swear that comment just triggered some PTSD in me.
The absolute gall to say that. My god!
I normally reach out to people when I can, but this has been a very busy time. I will state this again: I embrace the individuality that is you and everyone. Let’s respect one another here. If not here, then you know you have a safe space here to write what you need.
