    Myst

Myst......shes my inner rage... Whom I've selfishly kept in a cage... I fear her presence more than death... Because she'll push me past the depths....   Past the depths into abyss... The places my heart is scared to kiss... To kiss and awaken, what's laying in...

    • Sometimes the quickly captured thoughts make for better poetry……this one has.
      Being human isn’t easy 💋

    • I’ve found that all emotions serve a purpose…we just can’t serve them. This is a brilliant piece. Fear and anger can be all consuming when given free rein

      • Most definitely. Ive always been a swee and kind person. But I dont like bei6pushed or my kndn3ss taken for weakness and used. I know i have another side to me ive just never had to use her. Im almost at the point of opening the door completely.

    • It’s always a reward to me to see you’ve posted something.
This is a strong write, surrounded by the songish rhymes. As if singing it under your breath as you venture into a struggle.
      It’s better than you think.
Write it out, every time. It’s our sanity’s sake.

    • Thank you all for your kind words. I’m writing again this time mostly about strength and not wanting to wake my inner beast but its being tested. We’ll see what idea people deathly want to see

  • Poem of Slowness and Fire

echo, echo, echo,a word that returns, a word that dies,a word that insists effortlessly,a word that repeats itself like a sob. game, game, game, fire, fire, fire,a slow, almost morbid circle,a circle that doesn't close,a circle that consumes. there is a deep...

    • Brilliantly penned, PAR. Into the book it belongs! From Willow and I, she really doesn’t have a reading list that works. You’re such a wordsmith my friend, I’m always blown away when I read your work. Thanks for sharing my brother. Chef’s Kiss!! Appreciate you.

    • Now this one I can see a bit of the dark side. There’s a deeply relatable element to this that transcends subject or time. Depending on the point of being, it fits multiple topics. We write from a perspective and when it’s shared, it develops unexpected layers. I would like to have seen it performed during your 15 minutes of fame. It must have had a tremendous draw to it, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I was in a very dark place when I penned this one, I was going through something heavy, and it came out in the words. The one thing I truly love about what we do as writers, is the multiple meanings the reader or listener can take away from our words. We as the writer know what we’re really talking about or going through when we create. The reader doesn’t have those blinders on, they are in fact another point of view, without the writers biases. It is a great little song. It got a response from the crowd. Appreciate you.

    • This makes me feel your pain. The growl had to be wicked on this song.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I was in pain when I penned this, so the words are ripe with it. The growl makes its point known. Appreciate you, cuz.
