Poem of Absent Authenticity

HomePoetryPoem of Absent Authenticity

no one can guarantee,
no one can assure,
no one can seal the truth
of what is written in endless verses.

echo, echo, echo,
who said this?
who wrote this?
who will read this?

a word that returns,
a word that dies,
a word that insists effortlessly,
a word that repeats itself like a sob.

game, game, game,
fire, fire, fire,
a slow circle,
a circle without an owner,
a circle without a reader.

consumption, consumption, consumption,
the mouth chews the emptiness,
the eyes chew the darkness,
the hands chew the dust.

no one knows,
no one will know,
who said it,
who wrote it,
who will read it.

Echo, echo, echo,
endless verses,
nameless verses,
faceless verses.

And two more, Gothic and dry verses:

cold stone, dead word.
hard shadow, dry silence.

    1. Brilliantly penned, PAR. Into the book it belongs! I’m pretty sure the third part of this trilogy will end up in the book as well. Once again you have so many layers and so much depth in your writes my friend. Epic write brother. Appreciate you.
