I have your attention now.I really enjoy sex, but it’s important that it’s not something I do just because I have to, whether out of physical need or emotional release. I don’t want it to be a performance where...

    • There is no avoiding this crisis even with two working people in the same home, utilities and groceries are at an all time high. But there may be a reason for this like to pull families together. Tight

      • hello dearest Me thank you we are close and I look out for her but I’m poverty stricken too thank you for the love ❤️

    • Powerfully penned, Brenda. Raw and honest write my friend. There is so much chaos and uncertainty right now in America. All we can do is be there for our family and friends. Appreciate you.

    • I can totally relate to this poem. This gov’t shutdown has made me incredibly nauseous and sick. The shenanigans these assholes create, jeopardizing hard working people for what. Their gain?! Well said Brenda! Looks like the shutdown is coming to an end real soon. Hopefully your daughter is ok. xo

    • I enjoy walking my dog as well.

    • They are innocent and lovely companions…

    • I’m finding it more difficult to get away from real life and its problems that grab me by the arm and pull me away.
      I get it.

      • These are complex times Tim.
Eat right and exercise and write a poem or two to stay sane …

    • That second stanza is fire had to sign in to comment. It would had exploded with one of your art pieces. Tight

    • I stole that solitude line from a poem I wrote on DUP. Solitude is a remarkable life quotient. Grab it when you feel it and cherish it …

    • It’s dark these days on our morning walk…

    • Yes, I put a light up collar on Onyx so she’s easier to see … it helps

    • Beautifully penned, Speak. Nothing like a walk to think things through, you know figure shit out. It’s nice to have a companion come along for moral support. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

    • Those little moments captured seem so simple but they can be quite profound. I haven’t walked a dog in years, but there’s a peacefulness to it that I still remember. Neither of my remaining granny cats would ever submit to a walk. Drop over like cadavers if you put a harness on them. Cats…

    • I love the quiet of the dawn.
      Very few people out.
Mostly joggers, people walking their dogs and and nurses going to work.

Poems sometimes come to me on these walks.

Personally I think it’s my best poem DUP ceased operations ….

    • This is so raw and open. I guess she wanted you to go on. Keep the memory in your mind but not a gravestone to visit.

    • This shines. Well done brother.

    • Powerfully penned, Neville. Excellent write my friend. I seen this happen with my grandparents on my mom’s side. My Nan passed first, and Pop went on for a few years without her. But he wanted to be with her, he was lost without her. I can relate. Thanks for sharing this write my friend. Appreciate you.

It isn’t solitude that killsbut loneliness. Not the want of company, but the ache left by thosewho once knew your silenceswho once saw into your soul. You can stand in a room bursting with laughter and still feel no touch of being...
