The Wind Cried Mary

Bookmark
Summary:
This is entirely true and as raw today as it was all those years ago. The unexpected suddenness although I suspect she knew and the fact we have no marker to visit or pay our respects to except for the ocean which Mary insisted on where I scattered both my parents ashes does nothing to ease my own sense of personal loss and hurt.

The Wind Cried Mary

The wind,

called her name

and she

was then gone ..

But a star

was born instead

and while

no one knows for

certain ..

Just how many

stars burn

bright each and

every

single night ..

Mark these words

of mine my

friend, for another

one shall

surely shine this

very night ..

And I shall whisper

soft her

sacred name again

that of Mary,

my own birth mother ..

Mary, survived for 7 long years after the love of her life, my father passed, but sadly, could not wait to be with him any longer than that ..

    1. Powerfully penned, Neville. Excellent write my friend. I seen this happen with my grandparents on my mom’s side. My Nan passed first, and Pop went on for a few years without her. But he wanted to be with her, he was lost without her. I can relate. Thanks for sharing this write my friend. Appreciate you.
