    • Tread Lightly

Reading the room reveals a clue It takes concentration to observe  Ghosts of the past in the rearview Another deadman found his nerve   Once inside it’s difficult to leave Too many loose ends unravel lies Can’t get dirty and remain naive Tactical spider still collecting flies   Planting...

      • I think about the consequences of opening my mouth & weigh them against the burden of saying nothing. If it has the potential to hurt someone, I keep it locked in the Nope folder. There’s a lot of insight in this one. That cautionary note…think before you speak…is never out of date, my friend

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I always try to think before I speak. Sometimes that means biting my tongue, I like to choose the hills I’m willing to die on. Always enjoy your commentary. Appreciate you.

      • No you can not stay naive. Especially when you already was a part of it.

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Exactly, also can’t play the victim when found at the scene of the crime. Appreciate you.

      • hello dearest Damian you are very deep… I’ve picked up on a lot of wisdom in you… the air can help but be heavy with the words… truth is just like that 💕well done…

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Brenda. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Thank you, that means a lot to me, such a wonderful compliment. It’s really just being true to how my brain is wired. I’m a deep thinker who likes puzzles. lol. Your support has meant a lot as well. Appreciate you.

      • Learning to “read the room” is such a great line, and your last is filled with wisdom. We live and we learn as we go learning from our past mistakes and learning from others.

        Great poem.

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It was a cool line. Wisdom is gained over time, I totally agree. Appreciate you.

    • Frustrations

Writing all my fears on an empty page Needing to share these random thoughts Looking for common ground to engage Never found it hard to connect the dots   Chasing dreams in a game of chance I’m a realist when it comes to limitations  Sure it...

      • I liked this, Damian.

      • Oh, so totally resonates. I don’t know where I would be without my proverbial pen. And I spent far too many years perched in neutral…only to discover there is no such thing. Either your ass is leaning in one direction or your nose is. I prefer staying informed & walking the path that suits me. Shadows & all. And i find like souls along the way when living authentic. Consider this one on my reading list with emphasis, my friend

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I wasn’t in neutral, but my wheels were always spinning. Either wound up in the ditch of life, or lost on an alcohol induced detour. Nowadays I’m living authentic as well, there’s shadows down every path I’ve found. Being aware and informed allows one to read the situation better. Thanks for the list.. Appreciate you.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Agreed, there is always more to the story. Appreciate you.

      • That’s beautifully reflective—wisdom framed not as some lofty concept, but as lived experience layered over time. The imagery of seasons and fences evokes quiet contemplation, hesitation, even resilience. That last line? A soft unraveling of illusion. It reads like a quiet reckoning.

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, PAR. So glad you connected with the write my friend. You’re spot on. I believe wisdom is acquired through time and experience. Always enjoy your commentary. Appreciate you.

      Last Respects

      • Thanks, Mary. Thanks for following this along. I may leave it alone for a while. It’s not a bad stopping point, though ‘crazy’ never ends.

      • Boldly penned, Meg. Phenomenal work my friend. Appreciate you.

        Damian

      • Well, Dear Meg….👏🌺💛🌺💖🌺💙🌺🍷🏆

I’m sooo glad you’ve finally woke-up and realized you’d had enough of Dan’s flagrant utilization and disrespect of your deliciously lovely self … though, I’m not forgetting, either, how rapturously, shamefully horny you were in pursuing his sensational manly attributes … annnd, HOW – ohhh-MY!!!!

There’s absolutely no doubting your alluring skill with a pen in captivating and holding your lucky readers’ every fibers’ enchanted attention … and, no telling what you had us, er – all them, doing outside the screen, either.

“Brillianty perfect” is the permanently embossed tag I’ve molded into your sultry frame, from this day forth. Your “Slut Wife Confessions” series I’ll ever remember as one of those rare events that deeply and completely touched each and every aspect of my nature and senses, as a writer and a man.

Thank you, Darling Authoress, for making of me a hopelessly incurable fan and you an idol!
Endless miles of flirty smiles and shameless kisses! ⁓ Richard the Rascal🖌
