Nice and dark Fia. I love the candy corn colored sky emerges line.
Death takes its bride one organ at a time. Sounds like horror to me and a good one for the halloween season. 🙂 -
Hauntingly penned, Fia. Look at you writing horror, excellent write my friend. Appreciate you, cuz.

Violent imagery & language apropos for an October horror film marathon. I’ve got some catching up to do, fer sure. Thanks for holding it down here at Stars Rite. Much appreciated!

It builds with a violent intensity.
Very apt for Halloween. But also death is always with us. All year round. You poem is very truthful.
Regards James -
Your reflections on this conversation with death are the stuff of great poetry. Your poem is deeply felt and strong in imagery that is as poetic as it is strong. Truly a great poem.

Oh Lordy! You’ve done it again.
It’s like you know what melody/hook to use depending on the tone of the lyrics.
Where to emphasize your message. I listened to this when you posted but didn’t know how to reply.
I was at a loss of words! That is rare! Hahaha
Much respect chica!
Keep killing it! -

This i awesome. I somehow talked Fia into getting a Spoken Word group going (actually, I kind of bamboozled her into it). HER wants to join and she suggested we get Willow and you as well. After listening to this, I feel really out of my league. I’m a lifelong entertainer, but mostly in theater. When I started writing for performance, I had no music, just me, so that’s what I’ve been doing. But you would bring some real class to the group, and if we do this right, we can build something outstanding for all of us. Interested?

Hey, what happened to the audio? I sent a link to this page to a friend and he told me no song was here, so I came back — and it’s gone! Please put it back.

Apparently because of an update on the site, all audio on all posts got removed sadly. I hope I have time tomorrow to upload the audio again on all my songs.
In the meantime you can listen to the songs on my YouTube channel if you’d like: youtube.com/@Drieks

I feel that this is a calling out that we al can relate to, and be enthralled by. it’s an all consuming request that is determined and also inviting too. Like “give me that and I’ll give you this” type of trade. We write with emotions, so perhaps we look for emotions in return. Yeah?
Cool write, Fia. -
Fia, I could feel the entreaty of the woman as she beseeched her lover to give her words. I do agree the right words can make for a magical night in our out of bed. This poem speaks to me in a way that I could feel. Very well done.

(Lonely Dragonfly)The mind is touched, sad emotions softly whispered unto, your diction, Dear Poetess, lends a tale of long ago … yet, ever-present in the Samurai heart’s core ‘n eternal soul ~ his katana.
And, ohhh, you’ve sang it’s poignant timbre as a true Onna-Bugeisha, who always spoke her power equally by virtue of ebony kanji or blooded tanto. The rhythm ‘n flow of your Free Verse Quatrains dance above the page, as though transporting us into those feudal moments of yore … the magick hallmark of a master poetess’ pen.
I strived to highlight a word, a line, a verse for you … alas, all conspired to create the whole of exact poetical symmetry – your artwork choice in sheer perfection.
I gratefully bow 🥋 … thank you, Dear S. Libellule ⁓ Richard ⛩️
