First off, the rhyme scheme is on point. I can tell you really had to pull some crafty words to make the rhyme and tempo stay true. You succeeded. The story within is great, it follows through well and ends with a great mood.

Excellent. Obviously I enjoy story poems the most. It’s in the way it brings the real world into something we all can sense too.
Life is like that, and so writing can be a journal of experience too. This write fills that niche really well.
