You (as the writer) will always be the owner of all materials submitted and/or published on our site. However you may not post, distribute, or reproduce any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner.
We are only considered the carrier of the content. We are not responsible for any information that comprises the content. By joining and/or posting/publishing your work on our site, you confirm that you agree with all our Terms and Conditions.
All posts and chapters can only be edited, or deleted from your DASHBOARD.
To view your posts status (regardless if they are draft or published status) or to enable/disable comments on your posts/chapters go to Comments and Status page
Posting limit restriction: please note there is a maximum limit of 3 posts you can publish every day (24 hours) (including the posts you save as draft and posts you delete)
Here are some publishing guidelines to help you post your contents
1- Before you publish your post you have to decide if you want to include it as part of a Series. Series are any form of literary work that needs to be divided into chapters. Example of Series (series category groups) are: Books, Novels, Novella, or Plays. To Add or Edit a Series go to the SERIES PORTAL
Series Portal Guidelines:
When you create a new series you have to include the series “Name“, “Description” and the “Series Category Group” (such as: Books, Novels, Novella, Plays) . You can also include an image, example of which might be a book cover or any image for your series.
When you delete a series all chapters you had published as part of the series will also be deleted.
Please note that posts can not be edited as chapters or added to a series once they were created as regular posts. Chapters will have to be assigned as part of a series at the time of creating/publishing the chapter.
We have included a new option where you can “re-order” the chapters of your series as you wish. Simply drag and drop the chapters in the order you want. If by any chance the chapter order was not correct, simply go back to the “re-order” page and re-order again.
Once you create a Series, you have to go to the main PUBLISH page to add chapters to your series.
2- In the Publish page you have to include a Title for your post or chapter otherwise it will not be published (*Title is required)
3- Pictures and Images have become important tools in any literary promotion. Therefore we encourage our writers to include images to illustrate their work. It is important to upload a Feature Image (cover image) with maximum file size (1 MB) associated with your post/chapter. This feature image will be the main image of your post/chapter. However if you do not include a feature image then your post/chapter will automatically generate a default image.
You can also create an AI generated cover for your story or poem on Stars Rite.
After you publish your post use the “Cover Art Studio” to create or edit or add a feature image to your post from your image library.
Note: You can also upload imbedded images, or a gallery of images, inside your text. However please try to restrict the graphic size to 1 MB.
Please note “Stars Rite” is an online social self publishing platform (minimum age of our members and users is 13+ years). Even though you can publish mature content 17+ or 18+ explicit sensual & erotic material, however pornography, extreme sexual images or content are not permitted on this site (for more information please refer to our terms and conditions).
Age Rating: is an option for labeling your post/chapter. These “Age Ratings” are:
- E, Everyone
- T, Teen 13+
- M, Mature 17+
- A, Adult 18+ explicit
Please note that the feature image for age rating Adult18+ will not be displayed on the main pages of the site. A warning default image as below will be displayed instead. Don’t worry the “feature image” you have uploaded for your post will be displayed in your post page.
It is very important to understand that the “Age Rating” is assigned by (YOU) the writer and upon the writer’s discretion therefore it is the writers responsibility (YOU) to be careful what you choose as a rating for your work. (we at “Stars Rite” are not responsible nor accountable for the validity of the writer’s designation. Please refer to the “Age Rating” page for more information).
You also have the choice NOT to assign an “Age Rating”. Simply unclick the “Age Rating” selection (a label at the top of your post/chapter will indicate that you have not assigned an “Age Rating” for your post/chapter, and the rating will be shown as: RP, Rating Pending )
4- Posts over 10,000 words are difficult to read or process. Therefore we encourage you to break them down into several posts or as chapters (part of a Series) .
5- You can choose to add a “Summary” (50 words maximum) about your post/chapter which will be displayed at the top of the post/chapter page.
6- You can publish in a variety of Categories such as: Short-Stories, Poetry, Articles, Essays or Series.
Your posts/chapters can be further categorized by Genre : Romance, Action & Adventure, Science-fiction & Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Humor, …
You can also choose to post in Multiple Categories and Genre
We very much encourage you to categorize your post into Multiple Categories & Genres so that your readers can easily find your work and it can be included into the different archives and search categories.
You have to include at least one category or genre for your post or chapter otherwise it will not be published (*Category&Genre is required)
7- You can select the “Text to Speech” option if you want to add an Ai generated audio for your post.
8- You can upload an Audio file (a podcast) with a max 100MB size. Please make sure you assign the “Audio & Video” category to your post/chapter so it can be archived correctly.
9- You can upload a Video file with a max 100MB size. Please make sure you assign the “Audio & Video” category to your post/chapter so it can be archived correctly.
10- You have to click on the “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions” icon otherwise your post will not be published.
11- You can either publish your post directly or save it as a draft and edit it later.
12- At the end of the publishing/posting page you can find a link to the “Cover Art Studio” where you can create a feature image using Ai for your posts. You can also see all your media images in your Library where you can download, delete or assign any image in your Library to any of your posts.
