Thank you, Fia. That is a really nice compliment to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Mel Brooks. Sometimes I just like to sit at the keyboard and let my imagination fly.

I like how the changing of seasons and self are merged in this. Humanity has a deep bond with nature, but many have lost sight of it

Maybe it was actually. I wrote it 2 weeks ago and was really having a rough week that exhausted me. I just decided to write something to help me deal. Sometimes this writing is like therapy.

Protest! They say they care.
Protest! They wouldn’t dare.
Protest! They cut your hair.
Protest! They strip you bare.
Protest! They foul your air.
Protest! Your bruises hurt.
Protest! Your face is dirt.
Protest! Your eyes are tired.
Protest! Your jaw is wired.
Protest! Your eyes are black.

Sadly, I agree – I live in England, we’re all affected by Trump, Iran, Israel, all the cruel rhetoric on all sides, but I so hope America overthrows your President soon. Only thru a public uprising, it seems, can normality be restored in The States. HJx

It’s borne out of my frustration at The World, Fia. The Devil, threatening to wipe out a civilization using foul-mouthed rhetoric only makes life worse for all of us, bluffing or not. The Devils on the other side are just as bad, if not worse -putting to death 30,000 innocent protestors. Pray we all move to Peace, soon, girl. Take Good Care of…Read More

This is funny. It reminds me of something that Mel Brooks would write.
