Here we are again
The feeling hits and sinks
Taking us down
Way down to the brink
What fools are we
We let the world stall
And we crumble in the deep
To build up these walls
I stand here a fighter
Who knocks himself down
A survivor who swims
While trying to drown
Lord help this fool
Please answer his call
Please give me the will
To tear down these walls
For now I’ll be a castle
In the sinking sand
Searching for a prayer
An angel’s guiding hand
Carry me dear angel
So I learn not to fall
And please give me the wisdom
To stay clear of these walls

hello dearest Brandon reads like a beautiful prayer ❤️
Maybe it was actually. I wrote it 2 weeks ago and was really having a rough week that exhausted me. I just decided to write something to help me deal. Sometimes this writing is like therapy.
Beautifully penned, Brandon. An excellent write my friend. I concur with Brenda, it does read like a prayer. Writing is definitely therapy. Appreciate you.

Aww, this is nice. It feels good to read.
Thanks for posting.
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping by! 🙂
I think there’s a natural tendency in human beings to build walls for protection. But they’re a lot harder to take down. There is strength in this plea, recognizing the need and danger of walls
